TOBY runs Ski 4 Free
For the second consecutive year, Netbyte's TOBY application has run Jucy Rentals Ski 4 Free program in association with Treble Cone skifield. This marketing initiative, devised by Jucy CEO Tim Alpe, was already running, however the process was incredibly manual for both organisations and with no reporting capabilities, neither could quantify the program's success.
After showcasing the TOBY:Membership application at Auckland Zoo, it was abundantly clear how TOBY could power the Ski 4 Free program and after a week, Netbyte had a TOBY solution in place ready to run. As a cloud solution, TOBY was already at a clear advantage, being able to deliver to both organisations quickly and cost-effectively. In the first year, we used our proprietory just-in-time pass printing technology to print full colour individually barcoded passes while the customer was at the counter collecting their rental vehicle, however, since the face-to-face customer interaction is very limited in the car rental game, in year two we were asked to come up with a solution that would eliminate the need for printing while the customer waited.
We installed our newest version of the TOBY application for Jucy Rentals and moved to pre-printed plastic cards, which the Jucy staff only had to scan at pick up time and the rest of the system performed as it did in the first year - Treble Cone staff scanned the pass when the hirer turned up at the mountain and the system did the rest of the work. TOBY validates the pass is able to be used for that day and records information to produce reports daily, weekly, monthly and at the end of the season. Comparative reports year on year have now become increasingly valuable, to determine the program's value to each partner.
